I also work extensively in Calvert County which was established by Cecilius Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore in 1654, Calvert County is one of the oldest counties in the United States. From the Revolutionary war to the Civil War, Calvert county has been strategic.
The construction of Route 4 and the Thomas Johnson Bridge completed in the 1960’s and 70’s drastically altered the county and fueled the remarkable growth that Calvert County is experiencing today. This well planned county offers easy access to DC, Baltimore and Annapolis, convenient shopping and excellent schools. Many of Calvert’s beautiful homes were built in the 1970’s and 80’s, but the grand history of the county means there are historic gems as well as farms and plenty of waterfront property to satisfy any lifestyle.
